I’d like to know Johns position on the basketball and hockey arena in SODO before I can make an informed decision.

I just received the robocall about the meeting at Cherry Street Coffee. I appreciate the gesture, even realizing that this is election season. I have attended POS meetings at Pier69 for about 4 years, off-and-on, including the one attended by Ivar’s supporters. It was apparent that POS staff had an agenda that gave strong preference to vendors who met their politically-correct agenda. The weightings in this allegedly “fair and transparent (after-the-fact)” competition reflected their personal biases. I would like to know how the POS Commissioners (including you) felt that those extreme biases benefited the taxpayers who pay for the POS and the traveling public who use its facilities.

I have a scheduling conflict, and am unable to meet with you on July 14. I would very much like to meet you at another time. I would also like to know if the discussion will be on or off-the-record, as either will relate to my endorsement of your candidacy, with the associated publicity.

FWIW, my previous observations of the POS Commission gave me no reason to oppose their re-election. The Ivar’s matter changed that. I have ABSOLUTELY NO relationship to Ivar’s, other than being an occasional (2-3 times/year) customer. I do recognize what an icon that Ivar’s is to this area, want would very much like to know the thinking that was behind your vote.

Please communicate about other times for exchanging “face-mail”. Andy
